The ModernTots blog is open for everyone read and comment; you can also post new blog entries by becoming a blogger. We hope that by providing this forum we will foster a community while also encouraging a wider group to understand what it means to be modern. Welcome.

Participation

Reading. If you just feel like reading the postings of the various bloggers and the comments made by other visitors, feel free to use the site without the need to register.

Commenting. In order to make comments on any posting, you will need to register and create an account. The only personal information required for this registration process is a valid email address. Once logged in, you may also choose to add biographical information, an avatar, or links so others may know with whom they are communicating.

Blogging. If you would like to become a blogger on this site you need to be registered. Once registered, send us an email at blog@moderntots.com requesting we turn on full blogging abilities for your account. During the process we will look at your profile and any comments you have made to postings. The more you've told us who you are through your profile and how you'll behave through your comments, the quicker we can set you up to be a blogger. After your membership level is changed to allow blogging capabilities you will receive an email with basic instructions on how to proceed.

Rules

We hope this blog will become a forum for trends, ideas, products, and thoughts related living in the modern world. To that end, we will do everything we can to avoid mixing the editorial nature of a blog with the commercial nature of ModernTots.com. We expect you will do the same. Along the road there are going to be some grey areas which will need to be navigated carefully. Please feel free to let us know if we have crossed a line, but please also do not be afraid to introduce topics which help define where the line is.

One thing this blog is not intended to be, and will not be allowed to become, is a place for solving problems relating to orders or policies of the e-commerce aspect of the business. If you have an issue with a product or service received, contact customer service directly. Our customer service staff does not regularly read blog postings or comments and your voice on the matter will not be appropriately heard. This is not intended to prevent you from discussing products available on ModernTots.com or any other site.

Remember all ideas posted to this or any blog are availble to the public at large. By posting original ideas to this blog you may be revealing the information in such a manner as to dimish your right to it. Additionally, it may not be assumed that information provided here will be reviewed by the creators, manufacturers, or sellers of specific or related products or ideas. As such, it shall not be assumed that this blog shall act as a viable notification of product deficiencies nor shall it be assumed that suggestions for product improvements were provided to the creators, manufacturers, or sellers.

Pornography will absolutely not be tolerated on this site. A pornographic image or a link to an inappropriate site will result in an immediate cancellation of your membership as soon as the infraction is discovered. We ask the community at large to help us police this issue at all times.

Profanity will be automatically exchanged with "!@#$%!", and anyone whose posts frequently contain that combination of characters will find their membership cancelled.

Do not impersonate any person or entity. Do not transmit any content that contains a virus or corrupted data. Do not delete any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels. Do not use the message boards in a manner that adversely affects the availability of its resources to other users (e.g., excessive shouting, use of all caps, or flooding continuous posting of repetitive text); upload or transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights ("Rights") of any party. Do not delete or revise any material posted by any other person or entity.

ModernTots reserves the right to remove a post that does not relate to the topic being discussed in the board, organize messages in order to best serve the majority of our members, to prohibit or delete messages that are thought to violate applicable law or that may be harmful to other members, or the rights of ModernTots, or others. That said, ModernTots does not have the practical ability to restrict conduct or communications that might violate our Terms and Conditions prior to transmission, nor can we ensure prompt removal of offending message board posts.
